Rip-roaring regional reporting from Martin Lucas-Tooth.
Nero yet so far-o.

Café Nero, situated on Old Gay Compton Street, has come under fire from Beak Street residents for being too far away, that’s for sure.

In the past few years coffee shops have been popping up all over London. In fact a recent survey showed that wherever you are in London you are never more than 5 minutes away from a coffee shop; but people living or working or just lost in Beak Street, the home of Idiotica Towers, are still forced to walk for a good 7 minutes on their legs to get what is termed a “decent cuppa coffee”.

“What are you talking about?” said Nero spokesman Giorgio Nero when asked about this.

“Beak Street,” we repeated, and then left.
