Dustin to dust. Dustin
Hoffman, the limping miniature sidekick of the
late great genius Peter Cook has died after a
fight with Michael Parkinson in his Hollywood
home in Birmingham, it has been revealed.
Hoffman, whose piano playing
skills often out shone his comedic ones has been
fighting Parky on and off for a while now.
It supposedly started with a
game of ping-pong in the green room after one
of Michaels TV chat-shows on which Dustin
was a guest.
An argument started over the
scores and soon became a full blown fisticuff
after Parky called Dustin a cheating hop-a-long.
Parkinson obviously had the
advantage being a lot taller than short-arse Hoffman,
but its been said that Hoffman got a quick
jab into Parkys balls early on, disabling
him for a few months to the seat of a wheelchair.
The
fight resumed up again recently when they bumped
into each other at BBC Television Centre. Parky
lashed out at Hoffmans head and hit it hard
all over. He was taken to a hospital where nurses
and doctors looked at him for a few weeks until
he died just recently.
Dustin Hoffman was famed for
being in films like The Graduate where
he played a graduate, Peter Pan where
he played Dr Hook, and Arthur, a comedy
about the miners strike.
He also performed numerously
on TV and radio with very funny man and top travel
agent Peter Cook throughout the 60s and 70s until
Cook died of boozing and a double chin.
Dustin the nick
of time
By dying, Hoffman follows in
the footsteps of several other famous Dustins
who have already popped their clogs - including
Dustin Gee, Dustin Springfield and Dustin Bin. |
