THE BITS AND BOBS OF BREKKIE
AND WHERE TO GET THEM.
THE
BACON
Bacon comes from the
back, middle or smoky end of pigs.
It’s a meat
and it tastes salty – but
what is it really?
All can be explained
in one word: “rasher”.
Bacon comes in rashers, bacon
is a rasher.
To make bacon you take
a raw rasher and put it under the
grill (see picture), grill it, until
it’s grilled and then you have
a bacon.
On the full English
breakfast plate bacon likes to sit
alone, slightly curly and giving off
a light steam.
It appreciates the addition of bright
yellow English mustard, smeared along its length
before it’s gobbled up by you, or whoever
feels like it.
BED & BREAKFACTS
"Bedouin Breakfast" is any
morning meal taken orally, in a tent, in a desert. But it's
not a dessert, just a breakfast, and probably cold leftover
goat.
